President Jagdeo kidnapped by bandits

President Bharat Jagdeo was yesterday abducted by gunmen following in late
evening invasion of the Office of the President. The President was snatched
by a group of heavily armed gunmen in bulletproof vests after being cornered
outside his office at 8:55 pm yesterday as he was leaving for his residence.
Security guards at OP identified the kidnappers as the Feb 23rd prison
escapees. Sources told Stabroek News that the gunmen carried out a
precise military styled operation, firing only a few shots upon entering the
compound which houses the offices. (Full
