A 15-year-old girl has been missing since
last Monday (March 22), when she went to school
and then vanished.
The disappearance of Anita Thakurdin
has left her family completely baffled and they
are now appealing to anyone with knowledge of
her whereabouts to come forward with the
information.
Navita Singh last saw her daughter on Monday
morning, when she left home with her 12-year-old
brother to attend classes at the Cummings Lodge
Secondary School. Singh returned home a little
before 6 pm that day and only found her son, who
told her he could not find his older sister.
The school was already shut by that time so
the desperate family visited the homes of
teachers and classmates of the girl, who was
described as a very quiet student. It was then
they discovered that the young girl had no
classes scheduled for that day.
Apart from making a report to the police,
Singh and other relatives continued to revisit
the school in hopes of some clues to the girl's
whereabouts but with no luck.
Singh says this is the first time her
daughter has ever been away from her the home
and she is asking anyone with information to
contact the police or the family at 220-3275,
220-9017, 220-2971, 220-4595 or 626-6904.
