The above link is about Dr Rickey Singh, a Senior Guyanese journalist attached with Caricom and resids overseas. Here are his comments on the death squads, Gajraj "should seriously consider offering his resignation... while all relevant investigations are being thoroughly pursued."
Singh was first a journalist with the Guyana Graphic (now Guyana Chronicle) and after Burnham's first rigged election, his comments about "fairy tale election" angered Emperor Burnham. Burnham fired him and he then fled overseas, Barbados. Sir Shridath Surendranauth Ramphal was Senior Minister in Burnham's Cabinet.
During the America's invasion of tiny Grenada, he was kicked out from Barbados for his comments.
During the crime spree and the partially burning of the Albion Police Station in Berbice, Dr Singh wrote an editorial in the Guyana Chronicle demanding that President Jagdeo ask for Minister Gajraj’s resignation or move him to area where he would be better suited.
Dr Singh was on my mailing list but he requested me to remove his ID after I displayed a statement on my website, "RAMP HAL, crook of the India Diaspora"
Few months after, I was surprised to view an image in the Guyana Chronicle showing Sir Ramphal, crook of the India Diaspora, conferring a Doctor Degree on Rickey Singh.
In both Stabroek news and the Guyana Chronicle online, I saw two words that are sometimes used, "balls" and "gall".
Dr Singh has a hell of a lot gall today to meddle in Guyana's internal affairs. Can you believe this? Goodness!
Dear Asgar: Rickey Singh is your quintessential p-sec, supreme psuedo-secularist, who would be queasy and become violently ill, if one were to ask him about his race etc. He belongs to a rapidly expanding group of Caribbean journalists who have attained the highest levels of neutrality, they are as 'safe' and white-bread as one can possibly be, ready to enter the moksha world of journalism. They never step out of the crease, they write about issues that have almost no relevance to our society, their columns are filled with fluff and hype and politically correct words and phrases, they wish to be well-liked by everyone, hence they stay within their narrow confines of total neutrality, butts sore with 24/7 fence-sitting, never budging more than a centimeter from the neutral line. Such beings are prodigious pontificators, many trees are needed to provide the pulp to print their inane dull boring totally useless prose.
