A moment at the Peace Experience



SATURDAY, September 21, 2002 was celebrated as the International Day of Peace, and the local headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University hosted a Peace Experience at the Raja Yoga Centre, 75 High Street, Kingston, Georgetown.

Islamic Forum gets gifts from India

HIGH Commissioner of India to Guyana, Dr Prakash Joshi (third from left) shakes hands with President of Guyana Islamic Forum for Education, Haji Roshan Khan as the latter accepts several copies of Holy Quran and some musical instruments from the diplomat.

The presentation of the gifts from the Indian Government took place on Wednesday at the High Commission, Avenue of the Republic, Georgetown.

Others who witnessed the handing-over were, from left, Mr. P.S. Gusian, Mr. Mohamed Rasheed, Mrs. Farida Lall and Maulana Mohamed Ali Zanzibari.
