THE post mortem that was scheduled to be performed yesterday on the skeletal remains of a human which was discovered aback of Bachelor's Adventure, East Coast Demerara, on Friday last by GUYSUCO employees, has been postponed to a later date.

That's according to relatives of missing taxi driver, Vivekanand Nandlall.

Relatives of Nandlall are still wondering whether the skeletal remains might be that of the missing taxi driver and are hoping that the autopsy will identify the deceased.

In a telephone interview with the Chronicle yesterday, relatives said plans are underway to have DNA tests done overseas to verify whether it might be the remains of Nandlall.

"Nandall's parents are very concerned about the investigation being carried out by the police presently and are waiting for their investigations to be fully completed before they take necessary actions independently to satisfy Nandlall's parents' questions. And having taken this step it might once and for all be settled because the family have already gone through enough grief, pain and turmoil since the young, Vivekanand Nandlall was kidnapped on October 16, 2003," said the relative yesterday.

The police yesterday confirmed that the post mortem was scheduled for a later date.
